WHO: 18+ women who are interested in growing spiritually as they walk through life with another woman.
Life can pull us in many directions. Based on the Titus 2:3-5 model, mentors are women who can come alongside and help us navigate the ups and downs of our lives, encouraging us to grow spiritually. These heart-to-heart relationships are designed to encourage an authentic and transparent connection that helps us grow closer to Christ. Contact Jennifer if you would like to be mentored or to be a mentor.

WHEN: Third Wednesday of the month at 10 - Noon
Does not meet during December
WHERE: Northgate Church, Quilting Room
WHO: Women who love to sew and bless others
If you love quilting and love to touch lives for Christ this is the group for you. The quilters come together for fellowship, to teach quilting classes and to make quilts for those in need.
This group started in 2010 as a way to gather women from Northgate and the community who are interested in quilting as a ministry. The quilts serve as a reminder to those who receive them that they are loved and cared for by God. Quilts have been given to many people here in Pittsburgh, to a hospital and orphanage in Haiti, to a church in Houston, TX after a hurricane and to the community of Clay, WV. To find out the next meeting, contact Joanne or Peggy.

The Women’s Book Club (WBC) facilitates the reading and discussion of edifying books among women. Afterwards, women are invited to enjoy fellowship around the book through participation in either a facilitated online Zoom book talk or a facilitated in-person book talk.
Our titles include classics and lifelong favorites of believers that are not to be missed! All of our titles will contain timeless lessons from which all can benefit. We want to introduce women to their next treasured book!

Study: Trite, not True with Jarrett Stephens
We’ve all heard these statements. We’ve probably all said these statements. At one time or another in a noble attempt to encourage someone else or coach ourselves up in the midst of a challenge or difficult situation, we say what’s easy. We say what’s convenient. At the time, it sounds good to say and feels even better to hear, but is what we are communicating even true? Is it even biblical? This is important because shallow statements won’t lead to deep living, and false belief can lead to a false hope. This series is going to look at some cultural beliefs and trite statements inside Christianity that sound good, wise and helpful, but in the end might not be true biblically, and if not dealt with in an honest way could discourage people, disrupt their faith and lead them further away from a true relationship with God.
You and I are swimming in a culture full of opinions masquerading as wisdom. What’s worse, much of what passes as wisdom today has the ring of biblical truth. How do you tell the difference? How do see through half-truths and self-help trends to access the deep wisdom of God’s Word and the full life found in Him alone?
Those are the questions Jarrett Stephens tackles in this series—Trite, Not True—where he explores six of the most common pop philosophies that influence people’s lives today, including Christians.
For Women: In Pursuit of Peace
Location: Conference Room
In this time of division, split churches, broken relationships, and unprecedented anxiety levels, there has never been a better time to explore what the Bible has to teach us about peace. In this study, written and taught by Jennifer Hutmire, we will focus on biblical guidance for seeking, embracing, and promoting peace with God, internal peace, and peace with others. With an emphasis on group discussion and life application, this class provides women with a nurturing community in which to learn from the Bible and one another.
The Book of Hebrews
The book of Hebrews was written to people in crisis. They were persecuted, tempted by the rampant sin around them, and doubting their faith in Jesus. It was not so different than what many of us go through today.
Join Dr. Derwin Gray in this eight-session series as he walks through Hebrews, teaching us how to live for Jesus in every season of life. Hebrews shows us that Jesus is better than anything the world can offer. We simply need to answer, “Am I willing to trust him above everything else?”
