Rooted
Connect with God, the church and your purpose.
Rooted is a Bible Study experience that takes small groups in the church on a 10-week journey of learning and practice. NEXT STUDY: Colossians and Philemon
TUESDAY’S beginning Feb. 10th
We are offering this study on Tuesday Mornings from 10am-11:30am AND Tuesday evenings from 7pm-8:30pm
When Paul learned about the dangers the church was facing, he wrote them a message of warning. Colossians is full of dramatic and powerful passages coupled with rich instructions that defend Christ's deity and His sufficiency to reconcile men to God. Paul's message is a reminder that believers—then and now—are complete in Christ.
Paul also wrote a personal letter to Philemon, a prominent member of the Colossian church. This letter urges Philemon to forgive a former slave and thief and welcome him back as a brother in Christ. Through this real-life situation, Paul teaches Philemon, as well as believers today, the importance of forgiveness.
The church will provide this book for you and it will be given out on the first night of class.
For women looking to go deeper in this study, you may purchase this additional OPTIONAL resource on your own.

WHAT: Heart-to-Heart Mentoring
WHEN: Meets regularly according to individuals schedules
WHO: 18+ women who are interested in growing spiritually as they walk through life with another woman.
Life can pull us in many directions. Based on the Titus 2:3-5 model, mentors are women who can come alongside and help us navigate the ups and downs of our lives, encouraging us to grow spiritually. These heart-to-heart relationships are designed to encourage an authentic and transparent connection that helps us grow closer to Christ. Contact Jennifer if you would like to be mentored or to be a mentor.

WHEN: Third Wednesday of the month at 10 - Noon
Does not meet during December
WHERE: Northgate Church, Quilting Room
WHO: Women who love to sew and bless others
If you love quilting and love to touch lives for Christ this is the group for you. The quilters come together for fellowship, to teach quilting classes and to make quilts for those in need.
This group started in 2010 as a way to gather women from Northgate and the community who are interested in quilting as a ministry. The quilts serve as a reminder to those who receive them that they are loved and cared for by God. Quilts have been given to many people here in Pittsburgh, to a hospital and orphanage in Haiti, to a church in Houston, TX after a hurricane and to the community of Clay, WV. To find out the next meeting, contact Joanne or Peggy.
We offer varying ways for men to connect, do hard things, solve problems, and serve others.

WINTER ABC 1.18-3.15 (9 WEEKS)
THE BOOK OF ACTS
HOW TO LIVE IN EXILE
How to Live in Exile: This class explores what it means to remain faithful when the world around us feels foreign or even hostile to our values. Drawing from the experiences of God’s people in exile, we’ll learn practical lessons about courage, integrity, and hope. Together, we’ll discuss how to live as “strangers and exiles” in today’s culture while holding fast to God’s promises.
The Book of Acts: Journey through the story of the early church as recorded in Acts. This class highlights the boldness of the apostles, the power of the Holy Spirit, and the spread of the gospel from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth. We’ll see how ordinary believers became extraordinary witnesses, and consider how the same Spirit equips us to live out our faith today.
Alpha
Alpha is a fun (and free) dinner and group conversation series centered around exploring the big questions of life, spirituality, and faith from a Christian lens in a laid-back and non-judgmental environment.
It’s for those who do not consider themselves Christians or for those who are rethinking their faith. If you are curious, skeptical, or just have questions, Alpha is for you.
