7/1-8/12 - 9:30-10:30am - Fellowship Hall
Six weeks of exploring what church is, how and why we participate in church.
If you've been a churchgoer for more than just a few Sundays, walking into church probably doesn't seem like it deserves its own 'how to' manual. Right? In fact, it most likely seems like a pretty straightforward and trivial weekly activity. But things are rarely as simple as they seem, and how you walk into church reveals a great deal about what you think church is, what it's for, and what you think you’re doing there.
9/9-10/28 - 9:30-10:30am - Fellowship Hall
An eight week tutorial in how to read the Bible.
Instead of regarding the Bible as "more to be desired than gold" and "rejoicing the heart", like David in the Psalms, somehow, for many of us, regularly feeding on God's word ends up in the same category as regular exercise: a healthy chore we know we should fit in and that we benefit from, but which is hard to manage amongst everything else, and ends up slipping off the agenda. As the Lord Jesus said of his sleepy disciples: "the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak". Whatever your current Bible reading habits (or lack of them), and whatever your level of knowledge and confidence, this course will help you make progress in getting into your Bible.
11/4-12/9 - 9:30-10:30am - Fellowship Hall
A six week discovery into how to better be equipped to share your faith.
So many Christians feel nervous, guilty or awkward when they think about sharing their faith with friends and family. It doesn't have to be this way. You - whoever you are - can be empowered for evangelism that is faithful, compelling and relational. This course will leave ordinary Christians not only wanting to share their faith, but knowing how to talk about Jesus in their normal lives and everyday conversations.
The children go through the same Bible story during both hours; however, the activities, teachers, songs, videos, crafts, etc. are different each hour. The children that stay for both hours have had the same lesson re-inforced through a wide variety of activities.
Pre-school through 6th grade all participate in the same curriculum: The Gospel Project. They journey through the entire Bible with this Christ-centered study. The Bible stories come alive with a variety of videos, fun worship songs, hands-on activities and games.
