It starts with discipleship groups, which are groups of 3-4 men who meet regularly to read and discuss the Bible, pray together and share about what is going on in their lives. We’ve found that meeting in smaller groups like this encourages honest, open and Godly relationships, motivation to serve each other, families, the church and the community.
Women of all ages are welcome in this group. Through small mentorship groups, Bible Study, outreaches, (and don’t forget the holiday parties!), Women’s Ministry builds strong friendships, solid relationships with Christ and a great platform to learn how to be a strong and godly woman.
Flock groups are Northgate’s version of "small groups". Getting together as a church community on Sunday mornings is awesome, but flock groups offer the opportunity to get together on a smaller scale outside of Sunday church service to socialize, study, connect and grow. Flock groups are for all ages and backgrounds. Joining a flock group is a great way to meet people in the church and build long lasting friendships.
Everyone is welcome to participate in this ministry. Children and youth are divided into classes by age and grade with engaging lessons. Adult classes are diverse in topics, but each will help you grow in God's Word. Sunday school is also a great place to meet and get to know a smaller group of people within the church.
Known for their fun-loving attitudes and social interaction, the Hilltoppers is an outreach group for anyone over the age of 50. Their purpose is two-fold: first, to create an environment that is welcoming to all, regardless of background or religion. Second, their purpose is fellowship. Meeting once a month over lunch, the Hilltoppers often host informative speakers and entertainment groups.
This group specifically for 7th – 12th graders is regularly exposed to the 3 “G’s”: Gospel, Grow and Go. The Gospel is shared with them and their peers in a fun and welcoming environment every Thursday. In the Sunday morning Youth room, it’s our hope that they will Grow in their faith through the study and application of God’s Word. Through regularly scheduled events, parties, service projects and mission trips, we want our youth to Go with the gospel outside the walls of their homes, schools and church youth room.
Got a squirmy kid? He or she doesn’t like to sit still during church service? Well, we have a group for them, too, and they’ll love it! Our Children’s Ministry group encompasses children aged birth to 6th grade and includes Sunday School, Children’s Church, Junior Church and AWANA. (A Sunday morning nursery is available.)
